Twine Give-away

The Ribbon Girl is giving away 55 metres of this super, coloured twine.  I have used it on some of my cards and it is really soft and lovely to work with!

Back to blogging!

I had been blogging last year and it was taking over my life but now that I am back on track, I want to be able to share with you two of the things that are important to me (apart from my family, of course!) ...the most important is my relationship with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and the other is my card making.  I have missed sharing with you what I have learned from the Lord in my daily Bible readings.  I like to make cards to encourage people who are perhaps unwell or in need of comfort and encouragement (sometimes it's easier to write these words than say them); also people can keep a card and look back at it now and again and realise how special they really are.

Thought for today - My Bible reading today was Luke 5: 12 - 26.  Here we read that a man with leprosy cried out to the Lord and asked Him to heal him, but the man doubted whether the Lord would want to heal him.  Of course the Lord wanted to.  Our greatest need is to be healed from our heart's sickness, which is sin and the Lord wants to heal everyone from that.  All we have to do is to ask Him for His word tells us that 'whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved' - no doubt about it!!

Here is a card I made a while ago for a good friend - it's very plain and simple.  It's made using the wonderful Papertrey Ink clear Stamps

Supplies used:

Card stock - SU Very Vanilla; Basic Black; Kraft
Stamps - Papertrey Ink All Booked Up
Ink - Memento Black
Other - SU Punch; Paper Piercer
