Live simply. Love much.

I love clean and simple cards and I have found a few new challenges here and here.

This is my card for the Kraft Journal Challenge but unfortunately I'm too late to enter it.  Anyway, it's clean and simple using Kraft card.
This one is from the Less is More Challenge.  The idea is to pick just one small square in the card and put your image there and leave the rest of the card clean and white.

This is what I came up with, again using some of my favourite colours, pinks and browns.

The 'Love you' card was made for my daughter, who was recently married.  I miss her out of the house and every week now I have got into the habit of sending her a little handmade card!

This one is from the Simply Stampin' Challenge which is dedicated to using Stampin' Up! supplies.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - PTI Way to go, Kiddo, Little Bitty Bird; SU Doodle That (my first ever SU Stamp set which a kind friend bought for me)
  • CS - SU Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Soft Suede
  • Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Extras - Copic markers RV21, RV23, E35,W1, Y28, R22

Thought for today will from now on be Thought for the Week as I usually only post once a week - There are a few verses in the OT book of Proverbs which talk about having only a little of this world's material goods but being rich because we have the love and blessing of the Lord.  Two such verses are Proverbs 15 verses 16 & 17.  There are people who are wealthy and have everything they could wish for, but their lives are miserable and they are totally unhappy with themselves and those around them.  There are others, Christians, who have what they need to get by but their hearts are rejoicing because their sins have been forgiven and forgotten, their guilt is gone and they have a hope in heaven awaiting them when they leave this world.
When the Lord Jesus Christ was alive and ministering in this world, He lived very simply.  He didn't even have a roof over His head or a place to call His own.  He had to borrow from other people, for example, the manger He was born in, the donkey that He came into Jerusalem on, the room where the last supper was held and even His very tomb where He was buried after He was crucified.  But Christ loved much...so much that He willingly took upon Himself all our sin and went all the way to Calvary to be sacrificed for your sin and mine.
When life becomes overwhelming for you and you feel that it is becoming a rat race, remember that if you have Christ in your heart you have all you will ever need; as His servant, you can share the love with others that He has already shared with you.  Live simply.  Love much.
May God bless you this week.
