Thought for the week - Luke 8:43 - 48.  This lady had spent all her money on trying all sorts of cures for her disease but to no avail.  Twelve long years she had tried doctor after doctor, but nothing helped her.  When Jesus was on earth, she would have known that He could heal people.  Maybe she was afraid to ask Him to heal her, so she decided to secretly touch the hem of His garment, believing that she would be cured; so she did and she was!  Today, it is not always God's will for us to be healed if we are sick; maybe it is not His will for us to be healed now.  But the most important thing for us to understand is that we need God's healing for our sin sick soul.  We are all affected by the disease of sin and we need to have that dealt with first and foremost.  This lady had great faith and God indeed healed her; but he cleansed her soul first and gave her new life within and a hope for the future.  How important is faith in God?  We need to know that God can and does reward our faith; He can reward our faith immediately or maybe it is His will for us to learn to wait for a while.  Our responsibility is to have 'big' faith!!
