Clean and Simple Hubby!!!

Hello folks and welcome to my newest followers, Melissa, Lizy and Katina.  You can click on the photos of any of my followers and pop over and check out all their lovely blogs.  Lots of inspiring ideas to be found out there.
Well, it's hubby's birthday today and yes, he is clean AND simple but so is the card I made for him.  To be honest, he doesn't really 'get' the significance of cards so I don't put a huge effort into his, so CAS works well for him.
This one is for two challenges - CAS(E) This Sketch #15 (this is one of the best sketches I have ever followed) and CAS-ual Fridays #90(use black and white and one other colour).
For this quick card I used two strips of washi tape, die cut two stars and stamped the sentiment and the grid on the white star in Lucky Limeade.  I used to hate the colour green (school uniform colour!) but I am really getting to like all the lovely shades of green that SU! does.

God bless you today and always.

Three cards! (part 2)

This is my favourite card for my second offering for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge #15.
I have used more layers and texture with this one and it has more of a 'country' feel to it.

I also really like the font of the sentiment (Stampin' Up!).

Three cards! (part 1)

Hello and welcome to my newest follower!
Today I have three cards to show you, two for the same challenge and one other.
Firstly, this card was made for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge #15 and also for Dynamic Duos, which is to use Tempting Turqouise and Basic Black.
The sentiment is Stampin' Up! and very sweet...the inside says 'That makes you one in a million'.
This second card is also for Dynamic Duos and this time I have used a cloud.

Thanks for popping by today!  Hope you have a good week.

CASology 'RED' Valentine card

Hello folks and welcome to my recent new followers, great to have you!

With it being Valentine's Day tomorrow, I made a small but meaningful card for my WONDERFUL husband!  It's the words inside that will really matter to him, but to you the only interesting bit is the front of the card (hopefully!).  I have to say he is getting more romantic in his old age(!) but I'm not complaining.  He makes me feel special in every way, by all the things he does and says.  He really is a truly, loving husband and I am very thankful for him.

So here is the card, which is for the CASology challenge (use 'red').

I love this Stampin' Up! sentiment.  It just says it all!

CAS(E) This Sketch #14

Hello and I hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  I hope you don't have to work on a Saturday!  I love having a bit of craft time while my hubby washes the cars and does other boring stuff like that!

Today I have a card to show you that I made for a work colleague who wanted it for her friend.  Once again, it was quick and easy and I'm pretty happy with the finished product.

I used the lovely and simple sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch (love these! They're never too complicated).  Although there is a heart on the sketch, it can be any shape you wish.  I chose to make a sweet little rose with a die I've had for a while and I used my new Stampin' Up! papers.  I also added the cute sentiment "You mean SO much to SO many people" and on the inside it says "{One of them is ME}".  Isn't that lovely?  I also used a few pearls for added dimension.

Thanks for looking today.  I hope you have a good weekend!

Kraft and Kreme

Two colours to be used in this week's challenge over at Less is More

Now, I have to admit that, once again, this photo was taken in a rush, just before I headed out to work.  Do you see the condensation on the windows?  I woke up to a winter wonderland, thick, heavy snow!  Thankfully it has all gone now but more is forecast for tomorrow.

Anyway, I had just received this lovely designer paper from SU! and it's perfect for this challenge.  I also decorated a little gift box with the same paper and some crochet trim and filled it with little Hershey sweets.

A very quick and simple card, and the box didn't take long either.  My friend in work was thrilled with it (I know she always appreciates my handmade gifts which is why she always gets them!!!).

Simply wonderful!

Hello friends and a warm welcome to my newest followers, Vicky, Jo and Carole Ann.
I have had a very busy couple of weeks and  only managed to get crafting today.  Just last week I signed up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I have got some lovely new stamps to use. I've missed a few of my favourite challenges but I did get this card made for The Colour Throwdown Challenge.

These are some of my favourite of the SU! colours.  My flower is coloured with watercolour crayon, Regal Rose , although in the picture it actually looks like Pretty in Pink and the stem is Old Olive.  The image and sentiment are inked in Crumb Cake, while the card is Pretty in Pink as is the little brad.  The lovely ribbon is Regal Rose grosgrain.

Unfortunately the days are still quite dark at the minute and I am finding it difficult to take a good photo so it looks quite pale.

If you would like to order any SU! products, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help.
