Congratulations, smarty pants!

Hello again and I'd like to wish you all a happy Easter.  For me, as a Christian, this is a time of hope and new life. Of course, as we look outside we'll be starting to see the change of the seasons and the new life growing in the form of leaves and flowers and new little lambs in the fields.
But for the Christian, it means so much more than this.  At Easter, we remember the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for our sins and for our atonement; but more than this, we remember His rising again from the dead on the third day, which we celebrate on Easter Sunday.  Because He rose again and conquered the power of death, Christians, who have accepted Christ as Saviour by faith, have nothing more to fear regarding the future.  "Because He lives, we shall live also."  Perhaps today you are suffering physically from some illness or disease.  Please be encouraged that, if you belong to the King of Kings, one day you will receive a new and glorified body, pain and sickness free.  This is new life in Christ!
So here is my card:

And here are the two challenges I am entering:
I have to admit, the colour combination looks good on the scarf, but I'm not so sure about it for my card.  Always Artichoke is a colour I have never used before and don't really like, but it fits in here, I suppose.  I love this little stamp - it was free with Sale-a-bration.  I also scored the diagonal stripes with my 'free' diagonal score board, which is also fab for making handmade envelopes!  I made this card for my daughter who has just recently got a new job and we are all thrilled for her!
Take care!

(Four) Actually 'three' challenges

Hello friends!
I apologize for not having blogged for ages; I've been very busy.  But here I am, off work for the Easter break, with one card for four challenges.
The challenges are:
DYNAMIC DUOS #45 - Pretty in Pink / Regal Rose (Edited: Oh dear, I'm sorry...I've just realised I used Rose Red by mistake so I'll remove my card from this challenge.  Apologies)
All supplies are Stampin' Up! apart from the base card.
Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink card and ink
Thought for the Week
As always, I like to use the CASology word as a jumpstart for my wee thought and as I've said above, the word is 'HOPE'.
This word is a favourite of mine because, although it is only made up of four letters, it contains so much positivity.  Here is what Wikipedia says about HOPE.
Hope is the state which promotes the belief in an outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Despair is often regarded as the opposite of hope.[1] Hope is the "feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best" or the act of "look[ing] forward to something with desire and reasonable confidence" or "feel[ing] that something desired may happen".[2] Other definitions are "to cherish a desire with anticipation"; "to desire with expectation of obtainment"; or "to expect with confidence".[3] In the English language the word can be used as either a noun or a verb, although hope as a concept has a similar meaning in either use.[4]
"In many traditional Christian texts, the word is an indication of certainty and a positive expectation of future reward. “Hope” in the Holy Bible means “a strong and confident expectation.” Though archaic today in modern terms, hope is akin to trust and a confident expectation".[27]
There is a chorus we sometimes sing in church which goes like this...
'My hope is in the Lord
who gave Himself for me;
He paid the price of all my sin on Calvary.
For me, He died
For me, He lives
And everlasting light and life
He freely gives'.
The words 'He lives' are especially comforting for the Christian because we know with assurance that our Saviour no longer hangs upon a cross but after His death He rose again on the third day and now He lives for ever in Heaven, praying for us and preparing an eternal home for His Blood -bought people.
Remember this at this Easter time.
God bless.

Dinky bags and more!

Hello friends and followers!
Sorry I haven't been about recently...just been very busy.
So, I have a few cards for today and a couple of cute little bags that I just made for gifts for certain people.

First up is this card which I made for a trio of challenges:
donut dreams

This next one is for two of the above challenges - Less is More and CAS-Fridays.

And these two are for no challenge but I made one for my daughter and the other for a friend in work.  I love this Calypso Coral colour - very vibrant!

And finally, for today's post are these two totally dinky little bags made with the Stampin' Up! purse die.  One is made from paper, the other from card with paper added.  The little buttons are Card Candi.

Inside I put about 4 Hershey Kisses.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
