Freebie for helping me!

Hello folks! Hope you are well.

Today I'd like to share this little photo frame I made for my daughter to give to her friends for their little girl. I put her name on it and her date of birth and kept it very simple with the little heart and some SU! Rhinestones.

I'm entering this into the Challenge over at Let's Craft and Create, which is to make a CAS project.

I bought loads of these wee frames in Northern Ireland a few years ago for just 75 pence and now I've only 7 left and can't get them anywhere as cheap. If anyone knows where I could buy cheap wooden frames in the UK, I'll send a little gift to the person whose idea I go with!

Also here is the little box I made to put the frame in. I used the beautiful Blushing Bride chevron ribbon from Stampin' Up! - isn't it gorgeous? It's really soft and lovely to work with. I added a tag made from the Chalk Talk stamp set with the matching die.

Thanks for looking today!

Smoky Slate for a man

Hi again!  I'm back with one card only and this one is for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge found here.
I like this challenge because now I am using only SU! products and I can be more focused.
This is Challenge #81 and it is to make a masculine card.  I don't know about you but male cards are not my strong point but I have discovered that SU! have many stamp sets that lend themselves to a more masculine look - I just haven't bought them yet!!!
Now, I know what you're thinking..."there's a heart on that card"!  Yes, but this card is for the only man I would give a heart own dear hubby.  This is to thank him for everything he does for me, which is a lot and he is very special to me.  Of course, he'll not 'oooh and aaah' over this card as I would like but that's because he is a MAN!!
Actually, now that I've photographed the card, I think it could've done with a little dab of another colour somewhere, but ah well, too late now.
Supplies(all Stampin' Up!):
  • Cardstock - Smoky Slate
  • Ink - Smoky Slate, Versa Mark
  • Stamps - Chalk Talk, Serene Silhouettes
  • Dies - Framelits Chalk Talk
  • Accessories - Hung Up Cute Clips, White Embossing Powder

Spoiler alert! Don't look, Marlou!

Hi folks! Today my post is very quick as it's nearly time for our Saturday night Chinese food and I'm pretty hungry!

I made this card for my blogging friend, Marlou, who hasn't been very well lately and I hope this might cheer her up. I've missed seeing her cards on her blog and hope that soon she'll be able to get back to crafting.

I'm also entering this card into a couple of challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches

Fusion Challenge #19 - Pink Power

The colours are Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink (brad). I stamped on vellum paper with my big 'Friendly' background stamp in black Stazon, punched out the vellum with a variety of circle sizes then wiped over the circles with the ink pads. Then I scrunched them up tightly (stabbing myself a couple of times on the sharp edges!) and opened them again. I added a brad inside the now retired silver flower brad. I added a splash or two of ink from 'Gorgeous Grunge' then stamped on the sentiment from 'Hopeful Thoughts' in Rose Red. All popped up on Regal Rose card stock.

I've just placed a Stampin' Up! order for my birthday and was able to get some real bargains in the Clearance Rack. If you're interested, click on the SU! Logo on the top right of my blog which will take you to the online store and then click on 'Products - Clearance Rack' and grab yourself a treat!

Harvest...what does it mean to you?

Hello friends!  Hope you are well.
So, as the question says, what does harvest mean to you?  For me, harvest is the British version of Thanksgiving in USA.  It's a time to be thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives.  We have so much and yet we still complain that we haven't enough.  It's a good idea to sit back and count the blessings we have - family and friends, physical, financial, health and spiritual blessings.  Of course for the Christian, the best blessing we have is the free gift of salvation given to us through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Nothing is better than that.  One day, God will gather in all the souls of His saved and redeemed people and we will be at rest for all eternity in His care.  The labours of this life will be over for ever and we will spend eternity worshipping the One who gave His all for us.  What a reason to rejoice and feel blessed!
Today I have, not a card, but a gift box (inside there is a lovely bar of soap and a bookmark made by my friend Marlou)I made for a friend who has been a great help and support to me recently.  All supplies are SU! (some now retired).
I am entering this into three challenges:
Addicted to CAS - Autumn / Fall
CASology - Harvest
The Paper Players - Tic Tac Toe (ribbon, embossing, banner)

Aren't these wee gift boxes just the cutest?  Stamps are Chalk Talk with the matching Framelits dies.

Thanks for visiting today.
