New stuff!

Well hello again folks and I hope you have a blessed and peaceful 2014.
When we start out on a new year's journey we are filled with hope and anticipation of what the future holds and also, hopefully, having come out of the old year a wiser person.  Life is a learning curve, no matter how old we are and every day we come across new situations that we have to deal with.  I know I have learned some very valuable lessons in 2013 that I can carry with me into this new year, not least of these being that when trouble comes to the Christian, the Lord Jesus Christ most definitely is the solid Rock who keeps us from going under.  I have to say that, although the trials were extremely tough at the time, I am now thankful for them because the experiences and the help I got from the Lord and the support from His people have drawn me closer to Him and that's all that really matters, I think.  Whatever 2014 has in store for you, my prayer is that you don't try to go it alone, but rather go hand in hand with the Lord, who loves you and wants to be your strength and power, if you'll let Him!
Today I have a few creations to show you.  I made this card for a couple in church who have just had their second wee son, Micah (love that name... it means "Who is like God?").  I used the new Retro Fresh Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! which you will be able to purchase from 29 January as featured in the new Spring/Summer catalogue.  There are some wonderful new modern items coming up for you to look forward to, so start saving your pennies now because I think you will be impressed with what you see on offer this year!  I also made the little tag using the new Scallop Tag Topper punch which you can use to make tags, bookmarks, etc of any length - great wee product!  I added some washi tape (Retro Fresh, to match the papers) and a couple of wooden embellishments which I am so pleased to find in the new catalogue.  I coloured them with Tangerine Tango ink and Coastal Cabana.  The little stamp is a retired hostess stamp.

Then I decorated this picture frame using the same paper.

And finally, I made this little gift box to put the frame in.

I am entering the card into the following three challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (plus option of something new - in this case a new little person!)
Stamping for the Weekend - Anything Goes
Why don't you put 29th January in your diary as a date to look forward to then pop over to my shop (click on SU! logo at the right) and treat yourself to some really sweet new products!  Remember too, that for every £45 you spend, you will get a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue!  Can it get any better than that?!
